Castrum · Co-marketing compliance

Porta

porta · noun, feminine · a gate; the way in

Every co-marketing agreement enters through one gate — checked, decided and recorded before it's let in.

The four gates

In the castrum

Nothing entered except through a gate.

A Roman legion on the march built a fortified camp — a castrum — at the end of every day, and it built it to the same plan every time. A ditch and a rampart closed the camp on all four sides. Four gates broke the wall: the porta praetoria facing the enemy, the porta decumana at the rear, and the two portae principales at either end of the camp's main street.

Those gates were the only way in. They were guarded day and night, and after dark no one passed without the watchword. Whatever was inside the walls had come through a gate, under someone's eye.

In your company

Your co-marketing program needs the same discipline.

Agreements between loan officers and referral partners are where RESPA Section 8 risk lives. Castrum Porta makes every one of them come through the same gate: submitted the same way, checked against the same standard, approved by a named person, and recorded with the reason it was let in.

One standard. No exceptions.

How it works

Four steps. Every time.

  1. Accessus

    Approach

Loan officers and realtors submit through one shared link — no account needed. Section 8 flags run before they press send.

  2. Interrogatio

    Challenge

Requests arrive pre-flagged. Your reviewer researches fair market value without leaving the request.

  3. Transitus

    Pass

Nothing advances without a required attestation. Denials need a documented reason. Signatures are collected in the app.

  4. Commentarius

    Record

Every agreement, document and decision is archived with its audit trail — kept in one place for when examiners ask.

Public submission link

Easy for every loan officer.

No accounts, no training, no IT ticket. Share one link — loan officers and realtors submit co-marketing and sponsorship requests from any browser. Section 8 flags run before they press send.

What's inside

Castrum Porta, piece by piece.

  • One public submission link

LOs and realtors submit co-marketing and sponsorship requests from any browser. Only your compliance team needs accounts.

  • Section 8 flags before submit

Compliance checks run on the form itself, so problems are caught — and acknowledged — before a request reaches review.

  • AI fair-market-value research

AI-assisted research pulls comparable market rates, with cited sources, into the review — for your reviewer to evaluate.

  • Attestation on every advance

A reviewer must attest before a request moves to signatures, and every denial needs a written reason. Both are enforced on the server, not just on screen.

  • Castrum-reviewed agreement templates

Agreements are generated from Castrum's standard templates, or from your own template once Castrum has reviewed and approved it.

  • Due-diligence reviews

Active agreements come back up for scheduled re-review, so an approval doesn't quietly go stale.

Put every agreement through the gate.

We'll walk through co-marketing compliance with your team's real use cases, and build a package around what you need.
